As a single parent, I discovered a bowl approach for dinner with my son (where everyone washed their own bowl!). Over the years I've started calling it a monk's bowl and it's always an antidote to the over-indulgence of travel or holidays. Now it not only nourishes me but helps me to return to simplicity and feels like home.
