Simple Dinner

Thank you all so so much for all your loving comments & support. I am so incredibly grateful for all the love and friendship I've found in my fellow/fellette veggie bloggers. Today was a pretty rough day, but I guess these moments will come and go... and it's all part of the process.

I really haven't eaten much in the last few days, and when I have, it's been take-out. Tonight I really wanted a home cooked meal... even if was a quick & cheap version. I picked up a Field Roast "Celebration Loaf" at the grocery store, and warmed up a few slices each for Musty and I on the skillet. Alongside that was a big pile of brocolli & some rutabega oven fries. Rutabega fries are one of Musty's favorite treats for some reason, so he is always happy to see these on his plate. I'll try for something more inspired in the next few days.

Thanks again for all your love, friends!

  1. I always feel more grounded and in control when I get to cook for myself too. Hope your delicious looking meal has done something to give you a little more comfort.

I'll have to try rutabega fries--I've been really into parsnip fries, so I image that I'd love these too!

  2. Cooking is definitely therapeutic for me, so I'm glad to read that you're cooking during this rough time. The Field Roast Celebration Loaf is so incredibly delicious; but I haven't had any is so long, since my Whole Foods stopped carrying it!! I'm experiencing withdrawal!! haha :0)

Once again, I'm glad to see you cooking, and that you're getting through this less-than-stellar period. take care, Amey!

The things that you make that are quick and easy are the most delicious.
