Eating In India... with no pictures!

Whoa! It has been a crazy, hapless adventure trying to find some internet access... even in the middle of a giant city! I have had some amazing food, and have taken lots of pictures... but this spot where we've finally connected online has no way to upload them. If it has to wait 'til I'm home, so be it... but I do have good stuff for you.

So far, the best thing of note was the incredible food at the Ayurvedic Retreat where we spent our first few days... out in the countryside about 1 hour drive from Pune. The food was totally amazing, and also rather personalized. Each of us would get slightly different versions/selections according to our dosha (constitution). Either way, it was really good.

Now we've arrived in Pune, a big crazy bustling city... and we move into our apartment this afternoon.... Not sure yet if we will hire a cook or just do our own shopping. I think it will be a bit easier to get online from here on out... so I'll try to write more again soon...

Happy New Year Amey! Great to hear from you--we've all been waiting. Umm...sounds like you've been eating well. Can't wait to hear more & see photos. We rang in the new year on Walnut Street, by the fire, playing games & enjoying good cheer. Thinking of you. LOVE, laura
