Two gals came over to my place for lunch and conversation. We made it potluck style, and had a lovely and nutritious little feast. Brenna brought this amazing salad which has haunted my dreams ever since - it had lentils and cooked onions and walnuts and lettuce and it was totally magical. Plus, I brought bread from the bakery down the street.

Of course there was a huge bowl of hummus, sprinkled with za'atar and extra sumac, plus a huge plate of fresh market veggies. Rachel brought some homemade cranberry chutney and homemade applesauce, which somehow didn't get photographed (?), but were both delicious.

I made mini gingerbread cookies and offered red grapes - for a healthy but satisfying sweet end to the lunch. So lovely to share good conversation and good food!
that food looks heavenly...very nice.

ReplyDeleteWhat a good idea. I only think of potlucks when there is a huge crowd, but there's no reason it can't be done for an intimate lunch!
