xmas caroling with our pea pals
Remember several months ago when I blogged about these fun little green cookies called Green Pea Cookies? I really like them, so I ended up kickstarting them and it's been fun to watch them grow and expand. The people who run the company seem so extremely cool and friendly, it's pretty great. This is a link to their website.
They recently came out with a new flavor, which might be my favorite of all -- it's called Penelopea, and it's their usual cookie dough with dried cranberries added in. They are so good! The cookies come in this cute little box and with a sticker too. I think it looks fun and classy at the same time, definitely gift-worthy, if you're looking for fun and surprising gift ideas for the holidays.
I love their friendly little pea cookie logo. His name is Peater. If you are into pea-puns, you have found your people!! ha ha. (check out this cute little video they have on YouTube)
snug as a bug in a rug
They also really improved the packaging. Some of the early iterations of the packaging weren't as sturdy, and resulted in these delicate little cookies arrived pretty beat up. But, they heard the message and this batch of cookies arrived 100% intact. Yeah!
They are just so cute!
These green pea cookies are perfectly-sized. They're small and round -- just one or two bites per cookie, but they don't feel puny. I love their bright green color, it's so unexpected in a cookie. And it's especially beautiful with the bright red flecks of cranberries in this new Penelopea flavor. The cookies are delicate and crunchy, a little sweet and a little salty, and fun to eat. I shared my box at a Christmas party and they were a bit hit. Even the little kids who are afraid of all green foods were excited about green cookies!
a green pea cookie for all seasons!
I'm super happy to know & support the kind folks at Green Pea Cookie. They are based partly in Singapore and partly in the SF Bay Area. They're so enthusiastic about these cute little green cookies, it's hard not to get on board with them!
