Tonight my parents had a family tree-trimming party, with some dinner first. It was so fun... my mom made tasty Curried Pumpkin-Mushroom soup, potato & green bean salad, steamed green beans, and a salad. She made a dairy and non-dairy version of the soup - which was so sweet of her. My grandma brought some AMAZING fat free vegan persimmon bread. What a treat!
It was such a wonderful gathering, and so fun to spend time with my family. I really love them all so much. I came home glowing with love.
I know that the Holiday season is not a happy time for everyone. I feel exceedingly grateful for my loving family, but I would also like to recognize that for some people it's not so cheery. For all of you, I hope you have a warm wintery season.
The fat free vegan persimmon bread sounds very interesting! I'm so glad that you have a great family and that you live close enough to them to visit often. :)
ReplyDeleteI signed up for the yoga class I was telling you about. I'm really excited. It starts the first week of January.
The holidays are always special when you are able to spend them with family you are close to. I am so happy that you had a wonderful time with your mother and grandmother!
ReplyDeleteHappy holidays to you, too!
