2 kindsof vegan spring roll/egg roll wrappers
Lumpia wrappers
Super enticing mixed root veggie chips
Urad dal (for more dosas and uttapams)
Chickpea flour (so Mr. VE&T can make me more french toast!)
Rice stick noodles
Some odd green rice krispy treats with pandan
and some cool looking frozen sweet rice & coconut milk thingees in banana leaves (yum!)
I already used some of my lumpia wrappers to make delicious batch of Baked Lumpia from Terry's recipe testers. I had never even heard of lumpia before, but they were really great, and I loved that I could bake them, instead of frying - which is not really my scene. Luckily, I've still got some wrappers left, so I can make these again sometime soon! Mmm!
Wow it looks like you completely scored awesome stuff.
ReplyDeleteHow fun! You scored some great stuff. I love visiting new grocery stores. It's one of my favorite things about visiting other towns.
ReplyDeleteI've never been able to have lumpia before when my co-workers bring them in! How yummy looking!
ReplyDeleteThe sweet rice and coconut dessert is called suman, and it's often served with coconut jam (really more like caramel sauce, it's just made with coconut milk and sugar).
ReplyDeleteIt's ironic that so many delicious Filipino desserts are vegan but none of the savory food is. Luckily my mother in law will make vegan Filipino food for me, so I can have both.
Awesome find!
ReplyDeleteI love visiting ethnic grocery stores, there are so many great finds hidden inside. I can spend so long in them.
