Product Review: Allgood Snacks

I just got back from a few days in Yosemite with my mom and her two sisters. We had such a great time. I figured it would be a great time to try out the snacks that Allgood sent me to check out. They sent me two little packets - High Antioxidant Trail Mix, and Roasted Pistachios.

The first one we tried out was the Antioxidant Trail Mix
As you can see, we took it out on the trail with us!

It was full of good things: raisins, almonds, goji berries, mulberries, walnuts, pumpkin seeds and cranberries. As you can see, the package isn't huge, which is sort of nice for portion control - sometimes a smaller bag of nuts is not a bad thing! I would say there are about 2-3 servings in there. We each just had a little handful. This wasn't my favorite trail mix combo ever... maybe a little too much dried fruits? But I can see it appealing more to other people who really love all the individual ingredients. The cranberries were sweetened (they usually are in trail mixes), which I don't mind, but some people might care. It's definitely packed with lots of nutritious goodies, and I like the emphasis on high-antioxidant elements. Also, all the ingredients were high-quality - plump and fresh.

The second package they sent me was a little baggie of Roasted & Salted Pistachios. Yum! I Loved these so much! They were still in the shell, which was fun, and they were perfectly salted. Some salted nuts are so salty that you can't even taste the nut, and these weren't like that at all. Just enough salt to be tasty, but not at all domineering. The nuts were all big and plump and bright green and very, very tasty! There were a few left from our day at Tenaya Lake, so I brought them home and shared them with Mr. Vegan Eats & Treats - he was oohing and ahhing as he munched away. They really were good nuts! I can see buying these again for a snack or for a gift - I really like the package, I like that their products are organic, and I loved the super high quality of the ingredients.
