You may recall how much our cat Yummers Potatoes loves his veggies.... I swear to you, I didn't do anything to convince him that veggies are yummy, he was just born this way! He likes most veggies, but I think his 4 top favorites are: broccoli, green beans, corn, and most definitely asparagus. The other day I made some quick risotto with leftover asparagus, and when I sat down to eat it - Yummers came running from the other side of the house and jumped up next to me and tried to bat the risotto off my fork and into his naughty kitty mouth.
So, in keeping with the legendary broccoli and corn-eating videos - I now present you with:
Yummers Potatoes Eats Some Asparagus

Oh, in case you just came for food and not for kitty videos, here's what I made for dinner: Zesty Orange Mojo Tofu from Viva Vegan, pan-cooked asparagus and steamed beet greens (the BEST).
I want a Yummers! I try to get my cat to eat kale but she won't be cute, harumph. I agree with Erin - he totally went at that asparagus! Faster than I could eat it!
Too cute for words! Yummers is such a happy kitty. I would gladly share my asparagus too, if I were you. My cats love nutritional yeast flakes, mushrooms, potatoes, tofu, and vanilla Coconut Bliss. I've never offered them asparagus, but now I must.
What a pretty kitty, and with such a diverse palate! (Is that the same one who ate a fortune cookie, too?!) I can't wait until asparagus comes into season here (Seattle)...soon!!

ReplyDeleteAw, how cute! Nacho loves green peas, cooked pumpkin, and raw corn, but that's pretty much the limit of her veggie eating. Yummers is so adorable!
